All the following are factors that affect what system is right for you and your home. Key concepts to consider include:

• Efficiency Rating (SEER) – The efficiency of systems is rated on a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) scale of 14 SEER to 24+ SEER, with bigger numbers indicating greater efficiency, lower energy use, and more long-term cost savings. In fact, the utility savings and technology are significantly better as you move up in efficiency/SEER.
  
  
• Size – What is right size of system for your home? 2 ton? 3 ton? 4 ton? 5 ton? It’s possible that your current system is too big (or small) for your home. We can perform a load calculation to determine the optimum size for your needs.
  
  
• Location – Where you need/want your system located impacts costs. For instance, rooftop, attic, garage, closet, other? Need to heat (or cool) one area or room of your home more than another? Horizontal or vertical application? Downflow or upflow?    
  
  
• Brand – There are many popular brands such as Trane, Lennox, Carrier, Day & Night, York, Goettl, Goodman, and Amana that customers love.
