Specifically, agencies such as Salt River Project Power and Water (SRP) and Arizona Public Service Electric (APS) are not only working to support customers who need assistance, but also are not shutting off power due to unpaid bills until further notice.
State funding has also been ramped up for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which helps customers struggling to pay electric bills.
Governor Ducey has also met with electric companies to discuss how best to help customers during this time. For example, the customer service for your electrical company should work with you on switching plans and being flexible to best meet your budgetary concerns.
Also along these lines, utility companies are working with each other in this emergency time to cover each other (in case one has power go down), in order to ensure reliable service across the grid.
Governor Ducey also prompted utility companies to donate over 3 million dollars to support the community and small businesses!
