Parker and Sons is proud to give back to the community. Last year we raised $400,000 for The Special Olympics with our Everybody Wins Program. For every maintenance call we received we donated $5 dollars to The Special Olympics, for every new AC unit we installed we donated an additional $25 dollars. Hence the clever name of our philanthropic endeavor, Everybody Wins.
The Genesis of The Special Olympics
The Special Olympics is a charity for children and adults with disabilities that began in 1962. Since then it has grown into one of the largest most respected charitable organizations in the entire country. It offers over 4.4 million athletes with disabilities a chance to compete in events such as: Alpine Skiing, Aquatics, Badminton, Basketball, Powerlifting, Judo, and Table Tennis just to name a few. Athletes of all skill levels should participate and the focus of the games is always on community and fun.
The Special Olympics as Symbolic
No doubt, The Special Olympics is a symbol for courage and human growth. The athletes are given the opportunity to show what they can do in a completive environment. They are ultimately encouraged to win. However, it is also encouraged for the athletes to form friendships and practice good sportsmanship whether they be the victor or the vanquished.
Parker and Sons
When Grandpa Parker started Parker and Sons more than forty years ago with just a van, a garage, and high ambitions, he could not have foreseen the success of the endeavor. It has been rated # 1 service provider serval times over by Ranking Arizona and this is in no small part due to Grandpa Parkers customer satisfaction guarantee or else it’s free.
